சிங்கப்பூரில் கிருமிப் பரவலை முறியடிக்கும் அதிரடி நடவடிக்கைகள் நடப்புக்கு வந்து 18 நாட்களாகியுள்ள நிலையில் நாம் அனைவரும் ஒன்றிணைந்து அந்த நடவடிக்கைகளைப் பின்பற்றி நமது சுகாதாரத்தையும், நலவாழ்வையும் பாதுகாத்துக்கொள்வது அவசியம் என்று தொடர்பு தகவல் அமைச்சர் எஸ் ஈஸ்வரன் தனது முகநூல் பதிவில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்.

திரு ஈஸ்வரன், வெளிநாட்டு ஊழியர்கள் உட்பட நமது முஸ்லிம் நண்பர்கள் பலர் தங்களது குடும்பத்தாரை விட்டுப் பிரிந்திருக்கும் நிலையில் ரமலான் நோன்பை நோற்றாலும் மனதால் நாம் அனைவரும் ஒன்றிணைந்துள்ளோம் என்று குறிப்பிட்டு, முஸ்லிம் நண்பர்களுக்கு ரமலான் நோன்புக்கான வாழ்த்துகளையும் அவர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
அத்துடன், ஆஸ்கர் விருது பெற்ற இந்திய இசையமைப்பாளரும் பாடகருமான இசைப்புயல் ஏ. ஆர். ரஹ்மான், வெளிநாட்டு ஊழியர்களுக்காகப் பதிவு செய்து அனுப்பிய காணொளி ஒன்றையும் தமது பக்கத்தில் பதிவேற்றியுள்ளார் அமைச்சர் ஈஸ்வரன்.
Blessed Ramadan and A R Rahman's message
Today marks the beginning of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. It is also Day 18 of our Circuit Breaker which calls for us to come together as a community and follow the measures that are essential to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and protect our health and wellbeing. Our Muslims friends, including many of our migrant workers, may have to observe Ramadan apart from their family but we are all together in spirit. I wish all our Muslim friends Blessed Ramadan and Selamat Berpuasa.I am also delighted that A.R. Rahman, a renowned Indian music composer, has kindly recorded this message of encouragement for all, especially our migrant workers. Many thanks to Rahman for acceding to the request and to the friends who helped make it happen. Like the famous song ”Jai Ho!” by Rahman in the movie Slumdog Millionaire which means “Victory”, we will be victorious in this battle against COVID-19. Together, we can and will overcome!
